Sypro software sparks safety success for Beverley Housing Charity

We’re delighted to announce a partnership that will see Beverley Housing Charity use our risk management system to help manage its accommodation portfolio.

Beverley Housing Charity provides housing for more than 250 couples and individuals who have reached state retirement age, who are in financial need and have been residents of Beverley, Molescroft, Woodmansey or Tickton for ten years or more.

The charity has enlisted our Risk Manager software to help manage the maintenance, compliance and health and safety of its houses and residents. The system keeps this simple through easy-to-use functions that are housed in one central digital place.

Josh Mitchell, director for Risk Manager at Sypro, said: “Helping organisations manage their risk effectively is fundamental to what we do, but being able to support charities helping others in our home county through our products is something we’re also really passionate about.

We’re proud to announce this new partnership with Beverley Housing Charity, which will allow it to effectively oversee the maintenance and management across its 162 properties. Given the financial circumstances of many of these people, having the system in place will work to make sure the charity can provide its residents with top-quality living arrangements.

“Risk Manager is able to help with this by streamlining the day-to-day management and maintenance of all of the properties, as well as detecting any areas that propose any risk to residents. Meanwhile, it’s also able to support with compliance in any documentation, making sure the charity’s team is able to funnel more time and resource into its all-important services.”

Through simple management and robust process tracking across multiple sites, Risk Manager allows organisations to keep on top of their regular maintenance. The system also features customisable schedules, allowing for easy allocation of tasks with clear completion dates – and it can easily feed in reactive maintenance, which is then prioritised within any action lists.

Andy Barber, chief executive at Beverley Housing Charity, said: “We help to accommodate more than 250 people and needed a system that would allow us to keep on top of the maintenance, safety checks and health and safety – crucially making sure our residents are safe. We’re also working on some refurbishment of properties which the system will help us to manage more effectively too.

“Being a digital solution, Risk Manager brings us into the 21st century and gives us complete clarity on the maintenance, work and other tasks across our portfolio. This information is all easily accessed on the system, breaking down instances of silo working within the team, which in turn means we can quickly communicate to our residents if they have any queries, giving them the reassurance on progress being made and that everything is up to date.

“For maintenance and reactive maintenance, it’s been a breath of fresh air, and we’re also finding it an added benefit that Sypro is local to us in terms of the support from its team. It provides a really personal approach, and if we have any questions, we get a response in an incredibly efficient timescale.

“Our next steps with Risk Manager will be focusing on using the system to manage our compliance documentation, continuing to make sure this remains central to everything we do for our residents and service users.”

It’s great to have the charity using our system and we can wait to continue to support them.
