Announcing our new parent brand: The 55 Group

We are excited to announce that we have entered a new era of our history as we become part of a new parent organisation, The 55 Group. Alongside leading cross-industry businesses including national framework provider Pagabo, social value specialists Social Profit Calculator, and digital-first training platform Tequ, we take the next step in our mission to build a better future for all.

Our new home at 55 Whitefriargate in Hull city centre inspires the name of the new parent organisation, as well as a new chapter in the evolution of the businesses involved in the brand.

Our chief executive, Simon Hunt, said: “We are very pleased to have joined forces with likeminded companies driven by creating a better future for all. Our solutions are particularly innovative and to have an extra layer of feedback available before we make them widely available will be beneficial for end-users. Having said that, the group brand does not change the fact we, and all our new partners, are individually continuing to provide unique offerings that will strengthen the capabilities of various industries.

“With the relocation of the business approaching and a new shared environment for professionals of all trades, it’s a great opportunity to cement our reputation as the leading software company in the North East region and beyond and to continue recruiting talented people both locally and from further afield.”

The new structure has been implemented to provide a platform for growth and an opportunity for each of the individual business to work together – sharing knowledge, vision and expertise as we move forward.

Gerard Toplass, group chief executive officer at The 55 Group, said: “It’s an exciting time for everyone involved in the restructure as we begin building better together and harnessing the power of a collective strategy. Our mission at The 55 Group is to use technology and innovative thinking to establish a better, faster and greener approach to the built environment and beyond.

“The group has been formed on solid foundations, with each company already excelling in its own unique mission. But as a collective force we are underpinned by values including togetherness, innovation, creativity and results. By joining forces, we can work together to challenge the status quo and introduce new technologies that make people’s lives easier, safer and greener.

“It’s an opportunity for us all to thrive. We’re looking forward to moving into our new home in Hull and to be ensuring flexible working allows all our staff to lead fulfilling personal and professional lives. The new facilities and workspaces blend creative and social environments to suit any task, which will allow us to combine our collective creativity and disruptive thinking that challenges the status quo in order to create a better future and get things done.”

“We believe this new direction will help our staff to access more opportunities and knowledge while being part of an organisation driven by helping create a better future for everyone.”
