This year, the theme for the NEC Awards focuses on ‘collaboration using NEC3 contracts’ and has a particular focus on clause 10.1 of the NEC3 contract.
“The Employer, the Contractor, the Project Manager and the Supervisor shall act as stated in this contract and in a spirit of mutual trust and co-operation.”
In the collaborative spirit of the NEC3 contract, the Sypro NEC3 Contract Manager software is an ‘open book’ for all of the project team. By using the key features of NEC3 Contract Manager, all those involved in the project can view it in its entirety, including clear indications of all projects actions across multiple project teams.
This kind of detailed project insight is essential to advocate the importance of collaboration during the management of NEC3 contracts.
The 2016 shortlist was recently released, and we’re delighted to announce that Sypro Contract Manager was used in two out of the three shortlisted Small Projects of the Year and one Large Project of the Year.
The Oaklands Infant School project (Essex County Council & Pick Everard) is shortlisted under ‘NEC Small Project of the Year’.
The Beansfield & Gretton Primary School project (Brooke Western Trust & Pick Everard) has also been shortlisted for ‘NEC Small Project of the Year’.
In the ‘NEC Large Project of the Year’ category, Lancashire’s new mental health hospital The Harbour (Lancashire Care NHS Trust and IHP) has been shortlisted for the award.
