Waste Transfer Stations – Essex County Council
8 months per scheme
Essex Waste Partnership is delivering a network of new waste facilities across Essex – Project Managed by Pick Everard. The waste transfer stations are part of the network plan being used to help manage the County’s municipal waste over a 25 year period.
The aim is to create a sustainable waste management solution as well as increasing and maintaining recycling rates within the county. This network of waste facility sites will allow household waste to be deposited locally, creating a more efficient process.
How did Sypro help?
Sypro Management is currently working alongside Pick Everard, Farrans and Essex County Council on the construction phases of three of the Waste Transfer Stations.
- Waste to be received at: Harlow Waste Transfer Station
- “Black Bag” residual waste – Approx. 35,600 tonnes each year
- Mixed food and garden waste – Approx. 19,400 tonnes each year
Especially with large projects, it can sometimes be hard to track and effectively manage the different aspects of a contract. Using Sypro Contract Manager enabled our client to manage this contract in line with NEC3 procedures, whilst keeping all data and information transparent for all parties involved.
With a large project such as this, we’ve found the Sypro software a invaluable tool. It has allowed us to easily track and effectively manage every aspect of the contract in line with NEC3 procedures. The software keeps everything transparent and ensures that both ourselves and our client can easily communicate and changes or updates to the works.
