Olivia Braves the Shave to Raise More Than £1,000

We’re incredibly proud of our user experience and quality engineer Olivia Toplass, who has raised more than £1,100 for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the charity’s ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign.

Since the movement started in 2015, brave shavers have raised over £22.7m – the equivalent of paying for 140 Macmillan nurses for three years. The funds raised by Brave The Shave – which sees people shaving off their hair – also helps Macmillan to provide physical, financial and emotional to help people living with cancer live life as fully as possible.

Olivia said: “Having sadly lost my grandpa to cancer a number of years ago, I have always been passionate about supporting Macmillan in its fight against the brutal disease. I wanted to do something to help support those who are suffering, so taking part in Macmillan’s Brave The Shave initiative seemed like the perfect way to honour my grandpa and do my bit to help support Macmillan’s invaluable work.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have more than doubled my initial target of £500 and I am so appreciative of everyone who’s donated so far. My JustGiving page is still up and running, so please donate what you can for this truly fantastic charity.”
